western after school

little adventure in the german/croatian district on the sunny day. me and hilda and sara after school. at lincon square there are many nice small shops, with clothes from the early nineties for old ladies and wedding dresses and toystores with second hand toys, and used book stores.

At Lauries Planet Sound new and used records, cd:s and video there was a high fidelity atmosphere. i bought a couple of books (dracula by bram stoker, little house on the prairie, collected poems by poe) and enjoyed the lovely and spontanious interior design, with vhs shelves (people actually buy those?) and mixtapes with colored labels behind the counter.

the staff was really nice.

piles of books and shelves at "Used Books".

a young woman and a man sitter behind the desk. me and her had the same taste of books so she picked out some for me. my favorite finding was Schampo Planet by Douglas Coupland in hard paperback with some spilled coffee on it, 9 dollars. when we told them we came from sweden she started myspacing on a swedish indie band that i never heard before. her co-worker liked the music. tell all your friends to come to our store, bye, he said.
