the general consulate of Sweden. the new ambassador Torken Stiernlöf held a speech in english on the current political situation in Turkey and its relationship to EU and the middle eastern world. A lot of swedes were there, and some turks too. afterwards we went up to the saloon in this building and drank some wine and had snacks and mingled. I wanted to ask Torkel a really smart question about a book that the former ambassador Ingmar Karlsson wrote on the turkish membership in eu, and see what he had to say about it, but then i just ended up talking about our landlord, the antique shop and our cats.
